This is me and a group of Primary children that we shared afternoons with a couple of years ago. This group of children learned about Napoleon Hill in their photography class. Visit NapHill.Org to learn more about Mr. Hill and how KilbournePhoto of Big Stone Gap, VA attributes their success to his teachings.
She is determined. She is bold. She is Focused. To have anything or to be anything, you have to own the Desire to do it. Many people will say things like, "I wish I had the things that you have or I wish I could drive a car like that."
You can have anything that you want but you have to be willing to sacrifice the time and effort to get it. One day, this little girl will have her photographs on the pages of Sports Illustrated or better yet, maybe she will own Sports Illustrated!Fred Hicks is the owner of Hicks Tire in Glade Springs Virginia. A tornado came through that town one spring morning in 2011 and killed several people, his daughter was in the small room behind him and she survived by holding the door shut as the walls crashed around her. He said, "Everything including my income was taken from me in less than 60 seconds." He continued, "But I am blessed to still have my daughter. He said "I will rebuild".
I asked him how he could go on, and a quick reply came from him. "I am Determined", he said. ""All of my life, determination has kept me going. People have been giving me broken lumber and scrap blocks and I will rebuild.Fred said that everything was gone and as he walked about his property trying to find some personal belongings, He discovered this picture of "Joy", his wife who passed on in 1997. He said she is still my Joy, and she still gives me Joy in my life. Fred holds on to the love of his life and he looks forward to his future with the same vigor he had as a youth. "I have to depend on Me", he said. He began to walk around and show me not what was broken or destroyed, he showed me his new plan. " Over here I will put my tire balancer, and over there will be my new desk and I will use those blocks over there to rebuild this wall." Fred is a picture of Success, he said the word Failure was not even in his vocabulary.
Growing up GIRL is a wonderful thing, you get to wear hair bows and lipstick and polka dot shirts and we even get to change our hair style as often as we want to. Don't even begin to tell me that I can't do something, I CAN DO ANYTHING THAT I SET MY MIND TO........ as long as Mommy says it's OK. I'm Tough, I'm rough, and sometimes I'm Sweet.................. I'm sure glad I'm not a stinky boy!
